2008 has been (and still is) a busy year for Xandre Kriel. He’s imposed his indelible style on a variety of pieces, ranging from bar stools to shelving systems, and with great success. I recently spoke to Xandre about his work, and he’s very excited about the new direction many of the pieces have taken. His new work experiments with various rhythms and ratio’s that have resulted in some interesting forms…over and above that, he has such a cool studio space, complete with nudie pics and wood off-cuts.
