As you would imagine (or not, I suppose) I’ve become a little bit of a blog junkie lately… Today I thought I would share some of my favorite blogs with you…so you too can procrastinate for hours!
K first up
I read The Sartorialist religiously. The concept is simple…take photo’s of people on the street wearing cool outfits. Boring you may think, but what Scott Schuman does with his site is amazing! Besides the photo’s being really pretty, who doesn’t like to look at beautifully dressed people and then gripe about how much cuff should or should not be showing.
K next up is Dezeen . Marcus Fairs runs this blog, and its a mix of postings related to design. Not all postings are amazing, but what I particularly enjoy about this blog, is Fairs regularly posts new designs from grad shows, which are always interesting to see…In fact if you check out this blog today - I LOVE the rocking chair that was just posted.
Design Sponge is definitely not the most avant guarde of sites, but what it lacks in edginess is makes up in plain ol’ prettiness.
One of my favorite photographers Paul Mpagi Sepuya’s blog Untitled(Proofs) showcases some of his work, and other cool things happening in NYC.
A Shaded View On Fashion by Diane Pernet and friends is great! A lot of fashion by people you wouldn’t necessarily know, film, design, art, photography…the list carries on. What I like about this blog is that its quite personal.
We Make Money not Art is slightly more intellectual, which is nice. Also some of the posts on this blog have blown my mind.
