I was recently approached by Godfrey Liamba, with a request to help him find materials to build a rickshaw. I think this is a terrific idea, and definitely want to help.
Godfrey is a qualified carpenter and welder, and will be able to build the rickshaw himself, but needs donations of materials to be able to start his project.
If anyone can help with the donation / sponsorship of wood, old bicycle parts, steel, fabric, glass. It would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everybody, i just want to build a bicycle rickshaw to carry around my beloved wife.
i would like the blueprints for how to build the the junky kind you see in shanghai and thailand.
Simple and efficient gear ratios, you know artful and simple- with the folding canopy and all.
Looked all over the internet and found nothing but taxi style companies.
Im ready with my welder and if i dont hear anything soon im just going to do it myself.

Did you ever build it? I am looking for one for a friends wedding. didn't really want the bike kind, more like the kind they actually carry. The very old fashioned ones. if you hear of anything, will you let me know. I need it by the end of october.
